Voi Unit  May   20, 2017 It was a cloudy and dark morning as the orphans exited their stockade and enjoyed some games around the compound following their milk and supplement feeding. Today Pasaka did not want to interact with the other orphans and headed straight to Msinga Hill upon exiting his night quarters. He settled to browse in his private browsing space above the stockade office. A keeper stayed behind to keep an eye on him.

Following the noon mudbath the orphan herd joined a wild herd. The stockade dependant orphans joined a wild herd and the two groups browsed together for more than an hour. Ndii and Mbirikani went on a mission of trying to steal a wild elephant calf from its mother, an event which brought the friendly encounter to a quick end. The orphan herd quickly started to move away while Ajali followed the wild group. The keepers called him back and he did not hesitate in returning to his friends and their keepers.
