Ithumba Unit  October   3, 2017 Five wild bulls and a buffalo were drinking water at the stockade when the orphans were let out. Mutara and her group joined the orphans for lucerne shortly after they were let out and Kanjoro briefly engaged Garzi in a pushing game.

Out in the bush the ever playful Lemoyian engaged Enkikwe in a strength testing exercise but he lost the game to him. At mud bath time, the orphans were joined by the senior Ex Orphans who were with some wild bulls. In the end, a total of eighty elephants were at mud bath and they all wallowed to their satisfaction. Later, the orphans headed to Kanziku area where they settled to browse while the senior Ex Orphans headed west of the Ithumba Hill. The orphans had a quiet afternoon as they concentrated on browsing without any major observation. In the evening, Galana, who is forming her group, reported to the stockade with Loijuk, Lualeni, Ololoo, Chyulu, her baby Gawa and Nasalot. They later walked off back into the Park.
