Ithumba Unit  August   20, 2017 The orphans were joined by Tomboi, Olare, Kibo, Tumaren, Chemi Chemi, Kalama, Bongo, Narok and Melia this morning. After sharing lucerne, the orphans headed east of the stockade while the Ex Orphans remained at the stockade. Lemoyian and Boromoko started their morning activities by engaging each other in a pushing game that ended when Boromoko attempted to climb on Lemoyian. Lemoyian pretended to have quit the game and waited until Boromoko tackled Olsekki. He then snuck up behind and climbed on Boromoko in revenge. Later, Lemoyian played with Sokotei while Wanjala found a suitable tree that he used to scratch his itchy ears. Boromoko invited Sokotei to a pushing game. At first Sokotei was reluctant but following persistent invitations from Boromoko, he finally accepted. At mud bath time, the weather was chilly and none of the orphans dared to touch the mud bathing water. The orphans only drank water then returned back to the browsing field. In the afternoon, the orphans settled to browse in the upper Kalovoto area where Sirimon and Lemoyian enjoyed a strength testing game with each other. In the evening the Ex Orphans in the company of thirty wild bulls showed up for water at the stockade water troughs. The herd left shortly after having enough water.
