Ithumba Unit  August   24, 2017 It was a quiet morning when the orphans settled to feed on lucerne. Shortly later, Yatta and her group showed up, prompting the orphans to carry their small piles of lucerne to enjoy them somewhere else and avoid being pushed away by their seniors. Yatta and her group took over the venue and collected all of what the juniors had left behind.

Out in the bush, Galla dusted himself while Olsekki tackled Boromoko in an effort to determine who, between them, was the dominant one. Their game ended when Olsekki won and tried to ride on Boromoko. Lemoyian played with Kithaka and later played with Tusuja. The sun was hot and the orphans had a spectacular wallowing session. Only six wild bulls were at the mud bath as well. In the afternoon, the orphans settled to browse in the upper Kalovoto area where they concentrated on browsing for the rest of the day.
