Ithumba Unit  August   7, 2017 Six wild bulls were drinking water at the stockade water troughs when the orphans were let out in the morning. Wanjala had a brief chat with Tusuja while Boromoko engaged Naseku in a pushing game. Later, Boromoko attempted to climb on Naseku but he was brought down by Olsekki who was just standing close by.

Out in the bush, Oltaiyoni settled to browse with Galla while Boromoko teamed up with Olsekki. Shukuru and Siangiki took a break from feeding to participate in a soil dusting exercise and resumed browsing when they were done. At mud bath time, Boromoko led the way for their midday feed where they were joined by thirty wild elephants and the Ex Orphans. The orphans had fun in the mud where Tusuja, Lemoyian and Boromoko were competing who between them could climb on their friends. In the afternoon, the orphans settled to browse in the Imenti area. It was quite hot forcing Ukame, Wanjala, Naseku and Galla to relax under a tree. They resumed browsing only after the temperature dropped a bit. Dupotto spent her day with Kamok and she is slowly settling in nicely.
