Nursery Unit  October   28, 2017 As the saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side, and we witnessed this today after the 5pm milk feed when all the babies had settled in their stockades. Murit, who is Jotto’s neighbour, stretched his trunk through their partition and without poor Jotto noticing, pulled him greens through to his own side, despite having some of his own already. Before Jotto noticed that his food was being taken, almost half of it had gone! It took one of the keepers to replace Jotto’s stolen greens, but this did not stop the crafty Murit. He again reached through and took a branch before Jotto noticed and tried to defend his food. The two pushed each other through the gaps in their partition and pulled each other’s trunks until the keepers came to intervene!

Greedy little Murit
