Kibwezi Forest/Umani Springs Unit  October   9, 2017 The orphans looked very tired when they arrived at the waterhole at noon. On arrival, Alamaya immediately entered the water and started swimming around. The rest of the orphan herd was quick to follow him. Lima Lima decided that she did not want to wallow with the others and went to the small mud wallow that only fits one elephant at a time. She rolled over in the mud thoroughly enjoying herself until Sonje came to get her to rejoin the group as it was time to return to the browsing fields. The orphan herd had started to make their way but had to stop as Lima Lima usually leads them and they did not want to leave without her, which is why Sonje had to come and get her. It took some coaxing from Sonje before Lima Lima would leave her wallow and rejoin the herd. Ngasha and Faraja were the first ones to welcome her back into the group as they had grown tired of waiting for the mini matriarch to arrive and wanted to get back to the days browsing activities.
