Voi Unit  July   10, 2017 The orphan elephants started their day well with some games at the stockade compound before leaving for the browsing grounds. Ajali headed to the front of the group and led them in a professional manner out to the fields.

At the mudbath Ajali had a lovely time wallowing and was approached by Embu who wanted to learn something from her older friend. The two enjoyed playing together for a while until it was time to return to the browsing fields. Nelion decided to take on the leadership role in the afternoon despite the fact that everyone had decided that Ajali could be leader for the day. Not wanting to cause any problems Ajali let Nelion lead and that way maintained the peace.
