Kaluku is a home to orphans big and small. This month, we rescued a tiny orphaned dik-dik who was found wandering on his own around the workshop. Being one of the smallest antelope species, baby dik-diks are particularly vulnerable to predators. Mothers usually hide their young, keeping them out of sight and danger. Thus, when this baby was still alone come nightfall, we knew he had been orphaned.
