The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust this week completed a first aid course for the DSWT team heads to ensure that our men are refreshed once again, recognising the importance of disciplined well informed first aid procedures in case of an accident.  This course was attended by Team Heads from the Aerial Surveillance Unit, Orphans Unit, and Anti-poaching Units.

This intensive two day course was run from the Trust’s field headquarters in Kaluku Tsavo and was both informative and helpful with lots of practical demonstrations to ensure that everyone was well refreshed.  Being proficient in emergency aid is necessary and can save lives in remote areas were access to doctors and hospitals are hours away.
