WILD STORIES - TSAVO MOBILE VETERINARY UNIT

The month of August was extremely busy for our Tsavo Mobile veterinary unit with some challenging cases

The month of August was extremely busy for our Tsavo Mobile veterinary unit with some challenging cases.  It is disturbing how much poaching pressure faces Kenya's elephant populations once again.  The unit was able to save a number of elephants, some with terrible wounds caused from cable snares and others from poisoned arrows.  Our rapid response veterinary unit based in the Tsavo Conservation Area was able to save the lives of five elephants in the month of August  that would otherwise have died.
