 A busy month for the Aerial Surveillance Unit - 3/21/2014

February was an exceedingly demanding month for the Aerial Surveillance Unit, seeing the Trust's four aricraft taking part in the Tsavo-Mkomazi aerial census of elephant and wildlife, whilst continuing patrols over the Tsavo Conservation Area and responding to any emergency reports in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service.  

Covering over 200 hours and 18,000 miles in the air during these four weeks, the aerial team assisted in many successful cases including veterinary treatments of injured elephants targeted by poachers with poisoned arrows.
