View a Printable Version of this Update

It’s been just over two months since the DSWT/KWS Amboseli Mobile Veterinary Team headed by KWS Field Veterinarian Dr Njoroge, treated ‘Tim’ for a deep spear wound narrowly missing his hip bone.  With the support of the DSWT helicopter this magnificent 45 years old elephant was successfully treated on the 10th November for the wound on his rump which was septic and required immediate attention. After a 25 minute operation Dr. Njoroge was confident this mighty monument would have a good chance of a full recovery.
