  1. Tano's health update - 4/30/2013

    Tano returned to the Nursery Unit in Nairobi on 15th March 2013 from the Ithumba rehabilitation centre where she had been failing to thrive. (read more)

  1. DSWT assists with The Kenya Wildlife Service's Amboseli Ecosystem Aerial Count, April 22-26 - 4/28/2013

    During this past week one of the DSWT aircraft (our Cessna 185) has been busy assisting KWS in the wet-season aerial game count of the Amboseli ecosystem. (read more)

  1. Sities, Turkwel and Kainuk's Graduation to Ithumba - 4/25/2013

    The sudden arrival of the eagerly awaited long rains throughout Kenya have been the cause of much deliberation for the DSWT teams at both the Nairobi Nursery and the Ithumba Relocation Stockades in northern Tsavo East, as plans had been arranged for the relocation of three of the Nursery's oldest elephant orphans, and three of the budding matriarchs, Sities, Turkwel and Kainuk.
