  1. The Rescue of Quanza - 2/28/2013

    In the area known as Lemomo near the international border between Tanzania and Kenya, three of Amboselis famous female elephants from the Q Family, including Qumquat, her daughter Quantina 13 years old, and another daughter Quaye at just 10 years old, were gunned down by Tanzanian gun-toting poachers on the 28th October 2012.   1. A Grateful Grevy's Zebra - 2/21/2013

    The Meru Mobile Veterinary Unit has covered several thousand kilometres since it's launch a couple of weeks ago as the team have been travelling through the northern and coastal territories, covering Meru National Park, Kora, Bisanadi and Mwingi National Reserves, Mount Kenya National Park as well as Shaba and Samburu and the private and community conservancies within the greater Laikipia ecosystem.   1. Introducing Alfie; Our Newest Orphan - 2/15/2013

    Introducing Alfie, the DSWTs newest and smallest arrival. On Valentines Day we received a call from a school in Nairobi reporting that they had discovered a tiny newborn hyrax within the schools grounds. (read more)
