  1. THE DEATH OF LOISABA - 7/5/2011

     A particularly painful tragedy for the Trust has been the unexpected death of 13 year old Loisaba, rescued as a two year old orphan at Loisaba Ranch Laikipia and flown directly to the Voi Rehabilitation Centre where she grew up under the Matriarch-ship of Malaika, whom we subsequently lost in childbirth.   1. The Rescue of Mumbushi - 7/4/2011

    On the 4th July, 2011, at midday, the Senior Wildlife Officer of the Bill Woodley Mt. Kenya Trust, Edwin Kinyanjui, (the man who rescued orphan Kenia) received a report from a cattle herder of a lone baby elephant in the Mt. (read more)

    Released in the USA on 8th April, IMAX Born to be Wild 3D has subsequently been reaching theatres across the globe. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of Ololoo - 6/18/2011

    A young elephant calf was spotted alone in high grass on the opposite bank of the Mara river at the beginning of June 2011 by a Research student, Cecilie Willumsgaard based at the Karen Blixen Camp. (read more)
