  1. The West Gate Conservancy Scouts visit the two orphans they have saved, Loijuk and Lempaute - 12/12/2006

    The Scouts from the West Gate Conservancy in Samburu who rescued both Lempaute and Loijuk got to meet them again this month. (read more)

  1. The rescue of Kenze - 12/7/2006

    The evening of 6th December, 2006, and a call from our Chyulu De-Snaring Team made our hearts sink, alerting us to the fact that another young orphaned elephant had been spotted by members of the Community abutting the forest wandering around entirely alone. (read more)

  1. GALDESSA'S RESCUE - 11/22/2006

    Walking into the Generator Room of a tented Lodge on the Galana River, and cowering there until rescued, must surely be one of the most bizarre acts of desperation for an eight week old baby elephant, but this is exactly what happened during the evening of the 21st November . (read more)

  1. RESCUE OF LITTLE LEMPAUTE - 11/2/2006

    We received a phone call from Ian Craig of Lewa Downs at 12 noon on the 2nd of November regarding an elephant rescue from the West Gate Conservancy. (read more)

  1. LESANJU IS RESCUED FROM THE MILGIS LUGGA - 10/15/2006

    It is uncanny that most Elephant rescues always seem to happen on a Sunday. Yet again this happened for the rescue of tiny “Lesanju”, on Sunday 15th October 2006, who fell down an 18ft well dug to access water for the Samburu cattle in the Milgis Lugga - the largest seasonal watercourse between the stunningly beautiful Mathews and the Ndotos mountain range in the Northern Frontier of Kenya.
