  1. The rescue of Tassia - 3/28/2009

    This 9 month old bull calf was found all alone by three Samburu herdsmen during the morning of 26th March, 2009 as they were herding their cattle in the arid scrub Acacia country of their tribal land in an area known as Olchurai. (read more)

  1. The rescue of Bhaawa - 3/17/2009

    Another Sunday, the 15th March 2009, and yet another Elephant Rescue alert, this time again from the area around the Kirisia Hills near Maralal in Northern Kenya. (read more)

    After a much needed break of 2 weeks, Saturday 14th March brought another Elephant Rescue, a yearling calf, believe it or not, from the self-same well at the foot of Mt. (read more)

  1. Sad losses - 3/12/2009

    24th February 2009 saw the arrival of the 5th orphaned elephant baby into our Nairobi Nursery this month, leaving us all reeling. (read more)

    He was terribly weak, barely able to stand Little Soit once at the Nairobi Nursery. He was called Soit after the area he was found. He takes to the Keepers immediately.
  1. An update about Eve - 3/11/2009

    We, who struggle so long and hard in order to rear orphaned newborn elephant babies, and in the process shed gallons of tears and stress over every disappointment and failure observe with wonder and heartfelt joy the progress of Emily’s first newborn baby, “Eve” under natural conditions.
