  1. Chuna, an orphaned Lesser Kudu - 4/22/2006

    The pastoral Orma people live on the Eastern boundary of Tsavo National Park and one day a herdsman came upon a tiny newborn baby kudu crouched in the undergrowth in the early hours of the morning while taking his herd out to graze. (read more)

    The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust employs 40 Keepers who replace the baby elephantís lost family and are responsible for all the love and care and attention these emotionally fragile creatures require. (read more)

  1. Some different rescues - 2/24/2006

    On the 24th February The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trustís Mobile Veterinary Unit while coming back from treating a young elephant calf with spear wounds in Amboseli, carried with them a one-month-old zebra foal whose mother was snatched away by lions at Amboseli Serena lodge. (read more)
