  1. Mweya and Sweet Sally leave the Nursery - 5/27/2002

    How time flies! Can it really be 16 months ago, way back in January 2001, that Mweya arrived at our Nairobi Elephant Nursery by Helicopter from Uganda, a tiny infant elephant of just a month old? And 15 months ago that Sweet Sally came at 6 months old, having become separated from her mother during the translocation of elephants from Sweet Waters Ranch in Nanyuki to Meru National Park? Amazingly it is, and now two more of our elephant babies have successfully outgrown the Nursery. (read more)

  1. The Saga of Imenti, Ndume and Lewa - 1/9/2002

    The densely populated town of Voi has expanded right up to the boundary of Tsavo East National Park, a boundary that was supposed to be electrically fenced to protect the people from the elephants and the elephants from the people. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of 'SWEET SALLY' - 7/23/2001

    An elephant named for a very brave girl called Sally Dunne is now with us, a victim of the otherwise successful recent relocation of 52 elephants from a small fenced Ranch surrounded by settlement called "Sweetwater's" to Meru National Park in the North. (read more)
