    The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust stretches its support as far and wide throughout Kenya as possible in an effort to protect the country’s threatened elephant populations, whilst offering support to local communities to counteract human-wildlife conflict and encourage a healthy and sustainable coexistence between communities and wildlife.   1. The search for an Orphan Elephant proves fruitless, but reminds us why we keep at it - 2/28/2014

    On the 22nd February 2014 the Trust received a report from KWS who had heard from some herders that a baby elephant had been sighted standing beside its dead mother, on the edge of a waterhole. (read more)
