  1. A Sad Ending and A Success Story - 1/24/2014

    On the 8th January 2014 The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust rescued two orphaned elephants. The first was Losesia, a 6 month old female that had fallen down a manmade well at Sera Conservancy in Northern Kenya and the second, a two year old bull from Amboseli National Park. (read more)

  1. The rescue of Asanje - 1/24/2014

    Reports of an orphaned baby were first received five days previously from the Masai community near the Masai Mara Game Reserve after she had been driven away by dogs. (read more)

  1. The Tsavo-Mkomazi Aerial Census 2014 - 1/20/2014

    In early February 2014 the Kenya Wildlife Service is committed to an aerial count in the Tsavo-Mkomazi Ecosystem, which was last done three years ago. (read more)

  1. TOURISM INDUSTRY TAKES ACTION TO SAVE AFRICA’S ELEPHANTS - 1/17/2014

    A new campaign aimed at uniting the tourism industry to promote awareness of the current elephant poaching crisis has been launched, with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) proud to be one of the beneficiary partners of this ground breaking initiative. (read more)

  1. A Month with the Aerial Surveillance Unit - 1/16/2014

    The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust dedicates huge efforts to patrolling the skies over the Tsavo Conservation Area and the Lamu District hand-in-hand with the Kenya Wildlife Service. (read more)
