  1. Shimba's progress after being mauled by a lion - 5/30/2013

    On Saturday 6th April 2013 our precious Shimba was attacked by a lion. Seven-year-old Shimba has been with us since infancy. (read more)

  1. Prince Charles and Prince William call for urgent global action in tackling illegal wildlife trafficking - 5/23/2013

    In austere surroundings, leading politicians, conservationists, governments representatives, diplomats and non-government organisations joined Prince Charles and Prince William to discuss the plight of some of the world’s endangered species; noticeably elephants, rhinos and tigers. (read more)

  1. A Passing-Out Parade to be Proud of - 5/17/2013

    On Friday 10th May 2013, the Director of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), William Kiprono, was guest of honour at the passing-out parade of the Community Rangers graduating from an intensive three month KWS paramilitary field training course, which included seven of the DSWTs rangers, at the Manyani Law Enforcement Academy in Tsavo West.   1. Tano's passing - 5/15/2013

    Death of Tano It is with deep grief that we have to report the death of Tano, who collapsed and died as the clock struck midnight on the 11th May, 2013, after a long battle to try and save her life. (read more)
