We are delighted to share the news that 16 year old Ex Orphan Seraa has become a mum! On the 9th February 2018 she returned to the Voi Stockades together with her wild born calf, a boy, whom we have named Solar. She was escorted by Nanny Wasessa who was doting on the newborn baby boy as well.

Solar becomes the 29th baby born to an elephant rescued and hand-raised by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and we couldn't be more proud of this, or more proud of new mum Seraa.

Thank you to all of our supporters for your ongoing generosity and kindness which enables us to save elephants and other wildlife, and give them a second chance like Seraa, to go on and start a family of their own. We invite you all to share in this happy news as well.
