From Monday 6th to Friday 10th September 2010 we will be holding a photographic exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) in London.  The Protector of the Giants exhibit will feature a stunning selection of elephant orientated photographs from the DSWT’s orphans’ project and beyond.

If that wasn’t enough, on the evening of Tuesday 7th September there will be a ‘one and only’ keynote speech by our founder and chair, Dr Dame Daphne Sheldrick DBE, focusing on her lifetime’s work with elephants.  This is a genuinely rare opportunity to listen to Dame Daphne recount her experiences and share the unrivalled knowledge she possesses of Africa’s elephants and other wildlife.  Having spent the last 50 years living side by side with Kenya’s wild animals and acknowledged internationally as a pioneer in the conservation movement, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Doors will open at 6pm on Tuesday 7th September to ticket holders, with evening viewing of the photographic exhibition and a cash bar available until 10pm.  Dame Daphne’s talk in the Ondaatje Theatre will begin at 7.30pm.
