On 7th September 2010 at the Royal Geographical Society in London, UK, Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick DBE, Founder and Chair of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, gave a keynote speech to an audience of 700 people.  Captured on film, we are delighted to be able to offer a new, limited edition DVD, which features Dame Daphne's inspirational and emotional talk, which began with a film of new and archival footage, bringing the viewer from the 1950s through to the present day.

Since the 1950s Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick DBE has been working to protect wildlife in Kenya. Dame Daphne is though perhaps best known for her pioneering efforts in the hand-rearing of milk dependent orphaned baby elephants. Life saving work that has been continued by Dame Daphne under the guise of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT).  The non profit organisation founded in memory of Dame Daphne’s late husband and famous naturalist David Sheldrick MBEBy 2010, the DSWT’s orphans’ project alone has saved the lives of over 130 elephants - all would have died without the charity’s intervention.
