The CBS News magazine programme, 60 Minutes traveled to Kenya in mid-January to do a feature on the work of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The programme will be aired on Sunday the 9th of April.

  

  

60 Minutes is one of the oldest and most respected television news journals in the world. It is broadcast each week on the CBS Television Network in the United States and is syndicated to over one hundred other Countries worldwide. On average, 15 million viewers watch the programme in the U.S. alone. Aside from the general viewing public, the programme is "appointment viewing" for opinion-makers, philanthropists and politicians.

  

  

  

The segment will concentrate on the activities of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in the Nairobi National Park and in Tsavo National Park. Specifically, they will be concentrating on three areas: the elephant orphans Project; anti-poaching and de-snaring operations; and the mobile veterinary project.
