  1. KENYA’S PRESIDENT BURNS NEARLY 5 TONNES OF IVORY - 7/21/2011

    On 20th July 2011 Kenyas President Mwai Kibaki set on fire nearly 5 tonnes of elephant ivory, with an estimated value of USD$16m. (read more)

  1. KIBWEZI FOREST, UMANI SPRINGS - 7/10/2011

    The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has identified important habitats to help protect and preserve, and has recently embarked on a partnership with the Kenya Forest Service having secured a concession of the Kibwezi Ground Water Forest. (read more)

  1. ELEPHANT COLLARING IN THE LARGER MASAI MARA ECOSYSTEM. - 7/5/2011

    The protected area in the Masai Mara consists of an area measuring 1510 sq kilometers. (read more)
