  1. Mara Veterinary Unit - Black Rhino Ear - Notching - 7/3/2010

    During the month of June, the Mara Veterinary Unit participated in an important excercise, the Ear-notching of Black Rhinos in the Masai Mara National Reserve. (read more)

  1. The death of Sian - 6/27/2010

    Sian, orphaned when just 9 months old was the calf of the elephant named “Soila” from Amboseli’s famous SA elephant family, who never returned from having crossed the Kenya border into Tanzania, which Hunters habitually patrol hoping to murder one of Amboseli’s famous Big Tuskers. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of Kandecha - 6/18/2010

    During a surveillance recce searching in Tsavo East National Park area for one of Tsavo’s enormous Tuskers on the 16th June 2010, Robert Carr-Hartley came across a majestic Bull with perfectly symmetrical tusks that reached to the ground, a rare spectacle today and the epitome of awesome power and beauty.   1. Moving Kilaguni, Chaimu and Sabachi - 6/14/2010

    It was another very early morning start on the 7th June, 2010, for the transfer this time of three more Nursery elephants to the Trust’s Ithumba Rehabilitation Centre in Northern Tsavo East National Park. (read more)

  1. Join us for an exhibition and keynote speech by Dr Dame Daphne Sheldrick in London - 6/10/2010

    From Monday 6th to Friday 10th September 2010 we will be holding a photographic exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) in London. (read more)
