    The time had come for another move to take place, this time the big girls Suguta, Melia and Tumaren,   all best friends and destined for our Ithumba Unit within Tsavo East National Park. (read more)

  1. The Samburu Baby Lost - 11/24/2010

    It is alarming how bad the poaching has become recently throughout Kenya, and particularly in Northern Kenya, where the Chinese have been contracted to build roads. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of Ishanga - 11/21/2010

    On Wednesday, the 17th November, we received a call from our Ziwani desnaring team leader, Nicodemus, about an orphaned elephant calf that the team, along with KWS rangers, had rescued. (read more)

  1. David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust mobile app available on iPhone and Android - 11/18/2010

    We are excited to announce that we now have mobile apps available for iPhone and Android!  Our latest app, on Android, was released on 17th November and like its iPhone equivalent, it gives users the ability to read about the orphaned baby elephants available to foster at our Nairobi Nursery and not just that, to foster them too.
