  1. A sad day in the Nursery - 6/11/2008

    She came in on a Sunday.   It always seems to happen on a Sunday, but Sunday 8th June 2008 turned out to be unusually hectic as KWS informed us of two possible rescues from Laikipia to coordinate, which is never easy, especially on a Sunday!

    One young orphan had been captured on Oljogi Ranch in Laikipia district, having been spotted the day before on Mpala Ranch, alone. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of Siria - 4/30/2008

    The morning of the 3rd April brought the rescue of an l8 month old male elephant calf from an area close to Governor’s Camp in the Masai Mara. (read more)

    Siria Siria is given constant reassurance by the older orphans, her Makena gives him loving Siria having some milk Maxwell and Siria soon become firm friends
  1. Update on the Voi Unit Orphans - 4/26/2008

    Following the death of Mweiga on the 22nd December, 2007, whose heart failed her as she was returning to the Stockades in the evening, Natumi’s group of orphans never returned to the Stockades for 3 full months. (read more)
