  1. Chuna, an orphaned Lesser Kudu - 4/22/2006

    The pastoral Orma people live on the Eastern boundary of Tsavo National Park and one day a herdsman came upon a tiny newborn baby kudu crouched in the undergrowth in the early hours of the morning while taking his herd out to graze. (read more)

    The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust employs 40 Keepers who replace the baby elephant’s lost family and are responsible for all the love and care and attention these emotionally fragile creatures require. (read more)

    On the Lumo Community Sanctuary Maktau boundary, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Ziwani Desnaring team was called for an emergency rescue of a snared Eland that had become entangled in the security fence. (read more)
