  1. London's First Elephant Run An Enormous Success - 6/11/2014

    On Saturday 7th June, over 200 human-elephants took part in London’s first ever Enormous Elephant Run! Our runners took over Wimbledon Common in London for this sponsored fun run to raise vital funds and awareness for Africa’s threatened species and the field operations of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.   1. Aerial Surveillance for the month of May 2014 - 6/8/2014

    The month of May saw the aerial unit spending considerable time answering reports of injured elephants and monitoring their progress, whilst tracking and rescuing orphaned elephants and continuing patrols over the Tsavo Conservation Area. (read more)

  1. Garzi, Vuria and Ziwa Discover Ithumba - 6/6/2014

    Following shortly after the move of Orwa, Bomani and Teleki, another three of the Nairobi Nursery’s orphans were chosen to make the same journey down to Ithumba in northern Tsavo East. (read more)

  1. Sky Vets An Epic Mara Venture - 6/6/2014

    On the 3rd of June DSWT were alerted by Governors Camp to a male lion who had been sighted with a torn scrotum. (read more)

  1. The Amboseli Veterinary Unit's first month in the field - 6/6/2014

    Having commenced operations within the Southern Conservation Area at the beginning of May, the new Amboseli Mobile Veterinary Unit headed by KWS veterinary officer Dr Njoroge, treated 5 cases during the month whilst taking part in a sensitisation program to ensure that all KWS personnel and tourism and wildlife stakeholders within the greater Amboseli ecosystem are now aware the unit is in operation and can be called out to answer any wildlife emergencies.
