  1. Sky Vets in Action in the Mara - 4/4/2014

    At 9am on the 4th April a call was received from Governor’s Camp in the Masai Mara about a lioness named ‘Siena’, who was injured on her left lower flank by the horn of a buffalo bull one kilometre west of the marsh culvert. (read more)

  1. Kipini Conservancy Elephant Treatment - March 31st 2014 - 3/31/2014

    Late on the 29th of March a call was received from a Kenya Forest Service (KFS) officer at Kipini Conservancy in Lamu County who had located a young bull elephant with a severe snare around its leg and requested veterinary assistance. (read more)

  1. The New Kibwezi Forest-Chyulu Hills Elephant Rehabilitation Unit - 3/25/2014

    With an ever-increasing herd of orphaned elephants being cared for by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the challenges faced in providing a safe future for all of them is of upmost concern, especially during such times when there is great pressure and conflict over viable elephant habitats, droughts are ever prevalent and ivory poaching is still a severe threat throughout the country.     During the month of February unseasonable rains graced the greater Tsavo Conservation Area, which is normally incredibly dry, bringing fresh vegetation and filling up all the natural watering holes. (read more)
