August was a challenging month for the Aerial Unit, highlighted by the multi-day rescue of elephants trapped in deep mud. The team provided critical aerial support for wildlife emergencies, orphan rescues, anti-poaching operations, medical evacuations, and firefighting across the region. Over the course of the month, pilots flew 227 hours, covering 29,543 kilometres.
