SWT/KWS Burra De-Snaring Report for September 2021

Published on the 16th of October, 2021

The Burra Team operates in the southern sector of Tsavo East National Park, as well as the surrounding community areas and ranches.

Cases of human-wildlife conflict are common near Voi, where roaming elephant stray into neighbouring community farms and have to be driven back into the safety of the National Park. Bushmeat poaching, livestock encroachment and ivory poaching are among the illegal activities encountered by the team. This report provides an overview of the activity of all our De-Snaring Teams in September 2021, with a more detailed description of the Burra Team's operational activities in the period.
