Illegal activities encountered here include snaring for the bushmeat trade, marijuana cultivation, livestock encroachment and cutting of trees for timber and to make charcoal. Cases of human-wildlife conflict are common here, where roaming elephants stray in neighbouring community farms and have to be driven back into the safety of the National Park.

The report below provides an overview of the activity of all our De-Snaring Teams in July 2019, with a more detailed description of the Kenze Team's operational activities in the period.
