Area Covered

Our usual area of operation has a low level of snaring due to the daily patrols and the strong co-operation with our team and the community. We get information of poaching from some individuals who help us in conservation. We also get reports from pupils from different schools that neighbor our area of operation.

Findings

This month we managed to collect eight snares reported to us by a pupil from kamunyu primary school who came across the snares while grazing some cows in the community areas. Also fire has been witnessed at the Yatta at night; this may be for the honey harvesters. Our tree nurseries will start soon after harvesting Neem seeds at JF's farm. We joined hands in making the trust shamba around the house nice and tidy. The schools in the community had their interschool competition which has done well due to the balls and Nets the Trust donated to the schools.
