Bramwel Ireri Saitoti Lemirgichan

The Teams patrols started with the Trust land area. There has been a general increase of wildlife in this area therefore the team needed to ensure its safety from poaching. The team then moved on to the Mtito areas were we found a freshly snared Dikdik, unfortunately the Dikdik has died. The Team decided to ambush this poaching spot and await the poacher’s arrival. Unfortunately the poacher didn’t come to collect his kill. The team lifted 64 snares within the area, 5 of which targeted big game.

Upon patrols in the Mtito community area we lifted 14 snared from an abandoned farm. At Kamungu River the team lifted 21 snares targeting small game.
