Elephants and black rhinos born to orphans we have rescued, raised, and rewilded.
To date, we know of more than 94 elephant calves and grandcalves born to orphans raised and rewilded through our Orphans' Project. These are the babies we have met: their mothers making the pilgrimage home to their Reintegration Unit, to share this celebration of new life with the humans who raised them. There will be many more out there, including those fathered by male orphans living back in the wild. There are also two known wild-born rhino calves, in the shape of Sultan and his younger sister Savannah, both born to wild-living orphan Solio who assimilated into Nairobi National Park's black rhino population.
