We are pleased to report that our most recent wild born baby boy, little INCA,  is doing well with all the love, attention and guidance he could possibly wish for from Emily’s attentive ex orphan herd who form his family.  His mother, Icholta, was rescued as a small calf of just two weeks old herself sixteen years ago, and is proving an extremely competent mother despite never having known her own family.

Emily’s ex orphan herd, of which Icholta is a valued member,  live a totally wild life in Tsavo East National Park but still choose to visit the stockades regularly, and seamlessly integrate with our dependent orphans and their still much loved Keepers,  particularly at this time while they still have two tiny babies in their fold.   Ex orphan Sweet Sally gave birth to her little wild born baby SAFI in November of last year.  The tally for wild born babies born to our hand raised orphans is now 19 babies!  Here we share a short film of INCA shot when he was just a day old.
