  1. Mutara, Shukuru and Tano; A New Life in Tsavo - 1/31/2013

    Only days after Kilabasi and Kanjoros journey to Ithumba, the momentous morning came on Friday 25th January to transfer three of the Nairobi Nurserys oldest females orphans, Shukuru, Tano and Mutara, to the Ithumba reintegration stockades. (read more)

    For many weeks now two of the Nairobi Nurserys oldest elephant orphans have been in training for their journey onto the next stage of their reintegration back into the wild. (read more)

  1. The Tsavo Mobile Veterinary Unit treats a bull elephant in Tsavo - 1/15/2013

    On Saturday 12th January the DSWT staff at the Voi reintegration stockades received a message from a tour operator that a lame elephant had been sighted near Aruba. (read more)
