  1. The rescue of Sasab - 11/10/2011

    We received a call early in the morning of November 8th about a tiny elephant calf that had been rescued within the West Gate Community Conservancy having been robbed of his family by the flood waters of the Ewaso Niro river. (read more)

  1. The Rescue of Layoni - 11/3/2011

    This young abandoned calf was first reported to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust on Wednesday the 2nd of November. (read more)

  1. Milk Delivery! - 10/27/2011

    On the morning of 27th October we received another donated shipment of SMA milk formula delivered to the Nairobi orphanage. (read more)

    Each bag of milk was over 800kg so the forklift was essential in the offloading process The milk is carefully packed in the elephant milk store With each elephant at the nursery being fed 3 hourly 24 hours a day we need dramatic milk stocks The babies enjoying their bottles
  1. The Rescue of Emsaya - 10/8/2011

    On the 8th of Oct 2011, a young orphaned elephant  calf was reported alone on Galana Ranch,  just outside of Tsavo East National Park’s eastern boundary. (read more)
