    On the 14th September at 8.00 am an elephant calf of approximately eight months old was discovered by Maasai boys trapped in a well dug for their livestock on the Kenyan border with Tanzania in the shadow of Mt. (read more)

  1. The rescue of two fully grown bull elephants trapped in a sept tank - Tsavo West National Park - 9/15/2007

    The Tsavo Mobile Veterinary unit run by The David Sheldrick WildlifeTrust thanks to a grant from Vier Photen, were called to Ngulia inTsavo West to assist rescue two bull elephants that had fallen into the septic tank at the Ngulia safari lodge. (read more)

  1. The death of Elgon - 8/29/2007

    She was a very unique orphan for the Trust, the only elephant we have ever had from the “Mining” elephants of Mount Elgon National Park, situated astride the Kenya Ugandan Border. (read more)
