  1. A newborn baby for Ex Orphan Emily - 1/6/2015

    Christmas 2014 was an auspicious occasion for us.  Not only had bountiful end of year rains transformed Tsavo, a normally arid environment into a lush green jungle adorned with wild flowers and pulsating with life, but waterholes were filled with rain water and so for elephants and others food and water was readily available for all.   1. The rescue of Roi - 12/31/2014

    On the 22nd October Richard Roberts from the Mara Elephant Project contacted us about the plight of a young milk dependent calf, approximately 10 months old, whose mother had been found dead on the plains of the Masai Mara that day. (read more)

  1. Kiliís Untimely Passing - 12/11/2014

    The 10th of December was a day of devastation and heartbreak here at the Nursery.  Our beloved Kili who has captured the imagination of so many people around the globe died. (read more)
