  1. The Amboseli Veterinary Unit's first month in the field - 6/6/2014

    Having commenced operations within the Southern Conservation Area at the beginning of May, the new Amboseli Mobile Veterinary Unit headed by KWS veterinary officer Dr Njoroge, treated 5 cases during the month whilst taking part in a sensitisation program to ensure that all KWS personnel and tourism and wildlife stakeholders within the greater Amboseli ecosystem are now aware the unit is in operation and can be called out to answer any wildlife emergencies.   1. Celebrating 80 years dedicated to wildlife – Dame Daphne Sheldrick’s Birthday - 6/5/2014

    On Wednesday 4th June 2014 the DSWT UK welcomed over 300 people to the Curzon Cinema in Mayfair to attend the exclusive film screening of ‘The Elephant Who Loved Too Much’, celebrating the 80th birthday of Dame Daphne Sheldrick. (read more)

  1. Orwa, Bomani and Teleki graduate to Ithumba - 28th May 2014 - 6/4/2014

    It was in the very early hours of Wednesday 28th May that Orwa, Teleki and Bomani prepared for the next stage in their ultimate rehabilitation back into the wild. (read more)

  1. The rescue of Kauro - 6/2/2014

    Kauro came to the Trust on January to on the 30th of January after a report from Sera Conservancy via the Lewa Conservancy about a rescued elephant calf. (read more)
