Aerial Unit Report: May 2026In May, the Aerial Unit flew 194 hours and covered 25,890 kilometres. As the long rains began to ease across much of Tsavo, the landscape remained lush and well-watered. Against this backdrop, the Aerial Unit maintained a full and varied programme — a month that included two wildlife rescues, one ranger medevac, multiple veterinary interventions, and sustained law enforcement activity.

Anti-Poaching Report: May 2026May was a quieter month than April for our Anti-Poaching Teams, operating in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service. Rangers patrolled 34,407 kilometres, seized 74 kilograms of bushmeat, and made 35 arrests and recovered 67 kilograms of ivory from an elephant carcass. They also supported a variety of field operations, including human-wildlife conflict missions and veterinary treatments.

Anti-Poaching Report: April 2026April was a very busy month for SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams. Rangers patrolled 32,674 kilometres, seized a large consignment of bushmeat weighing 533 kilograms, and made 53 arrests. They also supported a wide range of field operations, including human-wildlife conflict missions and veterinary treatments.
