Amboseli Mobile Veterinary Report for September - December 2025The Southern Conservation Area and the Amboseli Ecosystem experienced a dry period, followed by sporadic showers of rain in September 2025. October and November were marked by cold, dry weather followed by a mix of dry and rainy periods, and sporadic showers of rain.

Aerial Unit Report: November 2025In November, the Aerial Unit logged 324 hours and covered 34,382 kilometres. The highlight was participating in Kenya's largest rhino notching and tagging operation, with 90 black rhinos attended in Tsavo West. Beyond this historic effort, the month brought the usual mix of human-elephant conflict resolution, animal rescues, veterinary support, and anti-poaching patrols across the region.

Anti-Poaching Report: November 2025November was quieter than recent months, although teams still covered a remarkable 35,367 km on patrol. They recovered over 100 kg of bushmeat and 38 kg of ivory. In addition to their anti-poaching work, they assisted in firefighting operations as well as several veterinary cases.
