As a registered not-for-profit, our income is derived entirely from voluntary sources, including our dedicated foster parents, supporters, foundations and the business community.

In 2004, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was established as a registered charity in England and Wales. The UK based charity, now officially registered as Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK, exists to protect and preserve wildlife and habitats in Kenya through financial contributions, educational outreach and public awareness initiatives.
As a registered charity, UK tax payers have the opportunity to Gift Aid their donations to SWT UK, allowing the charity to reclaim tax to the value of 25p in every £1 donated.
