For over 40 years, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, known as the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, has been the leading conservation organisation in East Africa. A field focused organisation, we seek to protect, preserve and conserve Kenya’s wildlife and habitats.
As a registered not-for-profit, our income is derived entirely from voluntary sources, such as our dedicated supporters, foundations and the business community.

In 2004, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, known as the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, was established as a registered charity in England and Wales. The UK based charity exists to protect and preserve wildlife and habitats in Kenya through financial contributions, educational outreach and public awareness initiatives.
As a registered charity, UK tax payers have the opportunity to Gift Aid their donations to the SWT in the UK, allowing the charity to reclaim tax to the value of 25p in every £1 donated.
