Working together to secure a future for wildlife.
In 2019, we SWT entered into a 25-year agreement with KALRO to protect and manage KARI Ranch. An area of 63,321 acres abutting the Chyulu Hills National Park. Through the partnership with KALRO, the SWT is responsible for the management and protection of wildlife and habitat on KARI.
Galana and Kulalu Ranches, covering 1.8 million acres, are managed by the ADC, which oversees sustainable agriculture development in Kenya. Intended to be mixed land use, with selective ranching activities that complement conservation efforts, Galana Wildlife Conservancy, sits within the area.
